Decograde Concrete Resurfacing resurfaces patios and alfresco slabs in Picnic Point. The patio is where the family sits, eats and entertains, so a stained or cracked slab gets noticed. Call (02) 9090 4131 and we will talk through what yours needs.
Patios close to Picnic Point’s reserves
Picnic Point sits on the Georges River, and Lambeth Reserve is being upgraded as a play space, with construction planned for August 2025 to January 2026 on the council’s project page.
Door thresholds and wall bases
The slab edge, the door threshold and the base of the wall all need masking. Water must still run away from the house afterwards, so we check levels at the threshold before anything is coated. If your patio holds water against the wall, we flag it.

Sun, shade and furniture marks
Shaded patios under trees stay damp and grow algae, and sunny ones heat up. A lighter colour runs cooler underfoot, and a sealed surface wipes clean more easily. Furniture legs and pot bases leave rings, so tell us how the space is used.
Have a patio that has seen better days? Send a photo of the whole slab. Call (02) 9090 4131.
An older slab and earlier coatings
Patios poured years ago may carry a worn paint layer or sealer. Any old coating has to come off completely, and removing it is often the biggest line in the estimate. We show you what we find and what it adds.
See the patio resurfacing page for our process and the patio cost guide for the published range behind pricing.
Picking a finish for the outdoor room
A patio needs a surface that is comfortable underfoot, easy to clean and not slippery when wet. A fine to medium texture suits most. Colour affects heat, so lighter tones stay cooler in direct sun. If the patio sits next to a pool, we treat it as part of the pool surround and look at grip more closely.

How a patio job runs
We move furniture only if you ask us to, mask the walls and doors, clean and etch the slab, then repair cracks. The layer goes on in dry weather, the sealer follows, and we tell you when you can use the space again. Plan around a few days without furniture on the slab, and ask us for the exact times for the product we pick.
Patios and the family backyard
A patio often takes the load of family life. We ask how you use yours, whether that is a barbecue area, kids’ play space or a quiet table under a pergola, and choose a texture and colour to suit. A sealed surface is easier to hose down after a busy weekend, and we tell you what cleaners are safe to use.
If the patio leads to a pool, a barbecue area or a play space, tell us, and we will think about grip, cleaning and heat across the whole space rather than one slab at a time.

Answers to common questions
Will the new surface make my patio hot in summer?
A lighter colour stays cooler than a dark one, and a textured finish helps grip. We show you samples so you can judge colour in your own light.
Can you resurface right up to the house wall?
Yes, with careful masking. We check the slab falls away from the wall first, because water against the house is a separate problem we point out.
What if my patio has an old painted finish?
Paint has to be removed before resurfacing, because a new layer will not bond to it. We tell you how much of the slab is painted when we quote.
Can you resurface a covered patio under a roof?
Yes. Shade and shelter help the layer cure evenly. We mask posts and walls, ventilate the space and tell you how long to keep furniture off.
