Decograde Concrete Resurfacing gets asked one question before any other: what does it cost? This page sets out the published range for standard concrete resurfacing in New South Wales and the things that move a quote either way.
The price range for standard resurfacing
Published Western Sydney pricing for a standard, single-colour resurfacing job is generally $50-$100 per m². Treat it as a guide to the market, not a quote.

Industry-typical range, not a quote. Your written estimate is the figure that counts.
Why two slabs of the same size cost different amounts
Area is only the start. A small slab can cost more per square metre than a large one, because set-up and preparation are spread over fewer metres.

Slab condition and preparation
- Oil, grease and old sealer must be removed before anything bonds.
- Cracks and chipped edges need repair first.
- Grinding or etching opens the surface for the new layer.
- A slab that is still moving needs its cause dealt with before any coating goes on.
Finish and colour choices
A plain single colour sits at the low end. Stencil patterns, a second colour or a heavier texture add labour and materials.

Access and site factors
Narrow side access, steps, tight edges and furniture that must be moved all add time. So does a slab that falls the wrong way and holds water. Tell us about these when you ring, because they change the quote more than most people expect.

DIY, the cheapest quote and doing it properly
| DIY | Lowest quote | Done properly | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preparation | Often rushed or skipped | Often cut to save time | Cleaned, repaired and opened up before coating |
| Product match | Whatever the shop stocks | Depends on what the crew carries | Chosen for the slab and how it is used |
| Lasting result | Uncertain if the bond fails | A lower quote commonly leaves out proper preparation | Ask for the written scope and the manufacturer’s specification |
How to compare two quotes fairly
Ask each business what is included. The cheaper quote is often the shorter list. Line the scopes up side by side: preparation, repairs, product system, sealer and cure time.

Getting an estimate
Describe the slab, its size and what bothers you about it. We will tell you whether resurfacing suits it and give you a written estimate.
We work across the suburbs we cover, so ask whether yours is one of them.
